AMAG decides on gate B – The leading Swiss general importer for Volkswagen is relying on Marketing Resource Management.

Steinhausen, December28, 2011 +++ gate B, leading Swiss provider of Marketing Resource Management (MRM) systems, has acquired AMAG (Automobile and Motors AG) as a new client. With over 5000 employees, AMAG operates all over Switzerland and imported 89,536 cars in 2011; they also claimed a record market share of 26.6%.

In order to create a more efficient work flow in Corporate Marketing and to consolidate all marketing-relevant information in a central location, AMAG has decided on “Web-to-Print” and “Media Pool” modules from the BrandMaker MRM solution suite. From April 2, 2012, over 40 employees from Corporate Marketing and 540 car dealerships will be able to access via web browser the information stored in the “Media Pool”. Apart from print templates that can be individualized for administering different makes of cars and for brochures, flyers and prospectuses, dealers can also access sales letters and event documentation as well as marketing data specific to a particular field, with the assurance that this information is up-to-date and of reliable quality. “That AMAG, the largest automobile importer in Switzerland, has decided on our MRM solution is very encouraging for us. It shows that the application fields for MRM are expanding more and more, and proves that our solutions are also very successful when used on a national basis”, affirmed gateB’s Managing Director, Olaf Gijseman. Using the BrandMaker MRM module “Media Pool” the Corporate Marketing Division of AMAG can consolidate all relevant information and media in a central location, manage it in a structured way and make it available on a national basis. With the MRM module “Web-to-Print” all printed matter can be individualized, centrally managed and logically documented. Moreover, the two modules facilitate reporting and budget administration of the individual dealerships. AMAG’s Corporate Marketing is aiming to further strengthen their presence and image in an increasingly competitive environment and hard-fought market, and to achieve their targeted growth rate.
