Thankful for in 2020

What a year.

2020 has been, among many other things, a wild ride. In fact, it’s hard to believe that it’s only been one year since we last celebrated Thanksgiving. 

In a year that’s been challenging at many turns, we’re excited about the opportunity to celebrate this Thanksgiving holiday. It’s a chance to step back and look at some of the good from the last twelve months. And, at gateB, we’re brimming with gratitude.

As we reflect on our year, there are three standout things for which we’re thankful. So we’d like to give a shoutout to:

Our clients

We know it might sound cheesy (at best) or like a marketing ploy (at worst), but we really mean it. We have some truly amazing clients.

This year, we’ve had the opportunity to come alongside brands that have challenged and inspired us. We’ve been able to see teams striving to help each other and their customers thrive. 

Our work gets us an inside look at how companies and teams are functioning, and we’re impressed. This year, companies have been presented with challenge after challenge. They’ve risen to them, working to reach their customer even as physical locations shutter. We’ve also seen companies go above and beyond to protect their team, helping people weather this storm.

During 2020, we’ve added some new partners to our roster. At the same time, we’ve deepened relationships with some solution providers who’ve been with us for years.

OUR PARTNERS

Our team

Our team — like so many others — has really been put through the wringer this year. When we shifted to work-from-home situations, every single member of our staff stepped up. Everyone was flexible and accommodating. 

Many business owners fear that moving to remote work will mean losing that team connection, but if anything, we’ve seen the opposite. Our Slack channel is populated with jokes and shoutouts. Ultimately, our team has continued to support each other and our clients to the best of their ability. We’re really proud of the work we’ve done together in 2020. 

To our growing team in LA, you are all rock stars. Thank you for the work you do — and the focus and enthusiasm with which you do it.

Yes, 2020’s been a hard year. But it’s had some large-scale silver linings. So here’s to those — and to the great year ahead.
